Get Involved

Virginia Cooperative Extension relies on volunteers to accomplish its mission. We believe that active citizen involvement in our programs makes a difference in our success. The work of volunteers at the local level helps us leverage our paid faculty and staff resources into a much greater impact for the people of Virginia.

There are many ways you can get involved with us. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss available opportunities.

Nottoway County Extension Office

The staff members at the Nottoway County Extension Office are always happy to hear from you.  Whether it be a question, a concern, or you are interested in our Ag or 4-H Program, please call us at 434.645.9315.  You may be interested in becoming a 4-H volunteer leader.  The Nottoway Extension Office values our volunteers.  They are trained ,  must have references, and must pass a background check  in order to be permitted to work with youth.

Master Gardeners

Nottoway County Master Gardeners are volunteers who have been trained to answer horticultural questions.  These volunteers give and record hours of service to the community as well as hours of  ongoing training.  If you are interested in becoming a Master Gardener volunteer, contact the Nottoway Extension Office at 434.645.9315.
